Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how UNIFIT LLC ("UNIFIT," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the UNIFIT mobile application and website at joinunifit.com (collectively, the "Service").

By using UNIFIT, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

UNIFIT is operated by UNIFIT LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (Charter No. LC014740969). Our principal address is 13 Godwin Ln, Saint Louis, MO 63124-1524. You can contact us at mario@joinunifit.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address
• Name
• Age and gender
• Account credentials (password is encrypted and never stored in plaintext)

Health & Fitness Data You Provide

• Body metrics: height, weight, goal weight
• Workout logs and exercise history
• Personal records (PRs) and skill progressions
• Custom workout plans you create
• Habit tracking entries
• Sleep logs and recovery data
• Nutrition logs: meals, calorie and macro intake, dietary preferences
• Training archetype and goal selections

User-Generated Content

• Profile photos
• Progress photos and videos shared to the community feed
• Skill milestone videos
• Comments and posts in the community feed

Usage Data

• Which modules and features you use
• Time spent in the app
• Device type and operating system version (standard mobile analytics)
• Crash reports (anonymized)

We do not collect: precise location, contacts, financial information beyond what's needed for paid subscriptions (currently none), or any data from third-party advertising networks.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize your fitness experience (workouts, nutrition plans, skill progressions tailored to your archetype and goals)
• To save and sync your data across devices
• To enable community features when you choose to participate
• To power AI Coach responses (see Section 5 below)
• To improve the app through aggregated, anonymized analytics
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not share your fitness data with insurance companies, employers, or data brokers.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage), which runs on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure located in the United States.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted at rest within Firebase. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data, though no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. AI Coach Feature

UNIFIT includes an AI Coach feature powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you interact with AI Coach:

• The messages you type are sent to Anthropic for response generation
• Relevant fitness context from your profile (e.g., recent workouts, PRs, archetype) may be included to personalize responses
• Anthropic processes this data according to its API terms and does not use it to train its models
• AI Coach responses are not medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice

AI Coach is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or addiction-recovery care. For serious concerns, please consult a qualified professional. Free resources include SAMHSA (1-800-662-4357) and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. All your data is removed from our active systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.

Accessing Your Data

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you by emailing mario@joinunifit.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Correcting Your Data

Most of your data can be edited directly in the app. For anything you can't change yourself, email us.

Opting Out of Community Features

You can disable community participation at any time in Settings. Any content you posted can be deleted by you or, on request, by us.

7. Age Requirements

UNIFIT is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Our signup process includes an age check that blocks users under 13.

If you are between 13 and 17, you should use UNIFIT with the awareness and supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at mario@joinunifit.com and we will delete the account.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it (described above)
• Right to delete your personal information (via in-app account deletion)
• Right to opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

9. European Users (GDPR)

If you access UNIFIT from the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights:

• Right of access to your data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (when you create an account) and the necessity of processing to provide the Service you've requested. Email mario@joinunifit.com to exercise any of these rights.

10. Cookies and Tracking

The UNIFIT app uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking. The website at joinunifit.com uses minimal cookies for basic functionality only.

11. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

12. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
